Golden Milk
Each day, as the first rays of dawn kissed the horizon, villagers would gather in the bustling market square, where a wise old herbalist would blend the magic. It was a scene that had played out for generations, and it was here that the alchemy of taste and health intertwined. An elixir known far and wide as "Golden Milk," carried the power to soothe both body and soul, with tales of health, warmth, and tradition.
Ingredients
1 cup milk ( 250ml )
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp crushed pepper
¼ tsp crushed ginger
Palm sugar/honey if needed for sweetening
Crushed cardamom if needed for seasoning
Method
Add 1 cup of whole milk into a saucepan. Feel free to use cow milk, almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or soy milk as per your liking. Stir it continuously so that the milk turns creamy. Once the milk starts boiling, add ½ tsp turmeric powder. Give it a mix and then add ¼ tsp freshly crushed pepper and ¼ tsp Ginger. Bring this to a boil, mix and simmer for a minute.
Switch off the flame.
If you want to add sweetener you can add honey or palm sugar crystals. While adding honey make sure that the milk is not too hot but warm. Honey should not be added to too cold or hot food. Transfer this mix to a glass or a mug.
